Rigby Rocket features 76 lively books and 3 Audio CDs produced by some of the best-loved children’s authors and illustrators. Engaging, humorous and original stories with superb illustrations offer children a rich variety of reading experiences that they will want to return to again and again.
Many of the early stories use rhythm and rhyme to help early readers predict the text and to encourage reading with expression. The illustrations and photographs in all the readers have been carefully designed to support the early reader both in decoding words and understanding the meaning of the text.
There is a clear structure and progression across the levels of the books. The programme begins with pink progressing to red, yellow,blue, green , orange then turquoise books. At the lower levels, vocabulary and language structures are repeated for reinforcement, and become more challenging at the higher levels.
