Sunshine Phonics- Meet the Team

Margaret Thorne George is a lecturer and teacher with over 30 years experience. She has taught teachers and her work in the classroom has been at all levels throughout the primary area. She divides her time between teaching young children and writing on educational matters for teachers and parents.

Penny Veale is a practising primary school teacher. She particularly enjoys working with childen aged five to eight. Penny has 15 years teaching experience and is a trained Reading Recovery teacher. She has a special interest in reading and language.

Judy Stevenson is Training Manager at Wendy Pye Publishing. She is a former teacher who runs successful teacher training programmes in the reading and language area in New Zealand and overseas.

Trish Blundell is a teacher with 20 years experience in the primary sector. Her specialist areas are reading and language, Reading Recovery, computing and technology. She has worked with children with special teaching needs and has contributed to reading and language books for teachers.

Wendy Dorset is a practising primary school teacher with 15 years experience. She writes, in her spare time, for teachers and parents and has always been concerned to trial her ideas with children before committing them to print.
